Golden Faith - Ep 8
Friday, May 30, 2008
Sorry for the break Rayolites. It was unfortunate to say the least. I've lost all the Rayolie information I've gathered, but I'm working to get it all back. In the meantime, I bring you a (almost) episodic look at one of Rayolie's first collaborations -
Yan Yan and Oscar in Golden Faith.
Nope, we're not encouraging incest here! But just as the Gallen-Myolie interaction was very memorable and sweet, so was the Raymond-Myolie relationship. Both brothers loved their sister very much, but while there's a ton of Ivan-Yan Yan screencaps out there, there are hardly any of Oscar and Yan Yan! (I believed I complained about this before).
So I nicked videos of tudou (low quality, darn) and crunchyroll (even worse, but with no watermark), and screencapped to my heart's content.
This is a quick rundown of the moments between the adorable siblings, with a slight slant. :P

Oscar returns home after studying abroad and Yan Yan is brimming with delight and adoration!

She clings on to her brother (clings I tell you!), and her teddy. Which is cute.

Delighted. And more admiration.

And here I'm mostly thinking "How long is she going to cling? How long??"

Very long apparently. All the better.

All conversation is lost on me. Whatever they are saying is totally inconsequential. I mean, he touches her nose! I couldn't quite capture it but he does.

Oh goodness! Matching teddies did you see? She gave it to him to bring overseas. Just, drown me in the cute already.

So the context of this screencap is that they are celebrating Oscar's return, he's all about nature, and decides to eat in a caveman stance (the things rich people do when they are bored, tsk). Yan Yan, who obviously idolizes Oscar, decides she wants to ehm, squat on a chair too.

Enter Cruella de Vil. This scene is supposedly about Oscar's disapproval of Cruella's morbid love for fur scarves. But actually, he's horrified that his sister might be picking up *gaspshock* BAD FASHION SENSE.And so ep 8 ends in a dramatic note. For slightly bigger caps see
here, and for lower quality (if that's even possible) caps with no watermarks see
here. Also, some caps in the sets may differ.
